MPD\u2019s part number \u201cBH48DL\u201d is a battery holder that accepts eight D-cell batteries in a series configuration with an output of 12 volts when using standard alkaline cells.\u00a0 The holder is made from black polypropylene offering good stiffness, heat resistant, homopolymer and is rated for food contact. The BH48DL has a UL94-HB flammability rating, and a temperature range of -10\u00b0C to +100\u00b0C. The spring contacts are nickel-plated spring steel, brass eyelets with nickel plating. It is also RoHS 2 compliant for worldwide distribution and meets worldwide standards, guaranteeing quality.\u00a0D cell\u2019s are also called UM-1 batteries, R20, ANSI\/NEDA 13A carbon zinc batteries and alkaline numbers\u00a0 LR20, ANSI\/NEDA 13D\u00a0 and also common rechargeable batteries.\u00a0The BH48DW uses 4-40 machine screws or eyelets for mounting purposes. Also adhesive or double face tape work well.<\/em><\/p>\n
