MPD’s part number “BH14DW” is a battery holder that accepts four D-cell batteries in a series configuration with an output of 6 volts when using standard alkaline cells.  The holder is made from black polypropylene offering good stiffness, heat resistant, homopolymer and is rated for food contact. The BH14DW has a UL94-HB flammability rating, and a temperature range of -10°C to +100°C. The spring contacts are nickel-plated spring steel, brass eyelets with nickel plating. It is also RoHS 2 compliant for worldwide distribution and meets worldwide standards, guaranteeing quality. D cell’s are also called UM-1 batteries, R20, ANSI/NEDA 13A carbon zinc batteries and alkaline numbers  LR20, ANSI/NEDA 13D  and also common rechargeable batteries. The BH14DW uses 6-32 machine screws for mounting purposes. Also Adhesive and also double sided tape work well.
